Recruiter – Academic & Non‑Academic Hiring

About the role

Chandigarh University is looking for a dynamic, result‑oriented Recruiter to lead talent acquisition for both academic and non‑academic positions. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle, engage stakeholders, and enhance the university’s employer brand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for academic and non‑academic roles.
• Source candidates via job portals, social media, professional networks, referrals, and talent databases.
• Screen applications, conduct initial assessments, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, Deans, Directors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely closure of positions while maintaining high quality of hire.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Provide a positive candidate experience through clear communication.
• Support campus hiring drives, job fairs, and employer‑branding initiatives.
• Prepare recruitment MIS reports, dashboards, and hiring analytics.
• Ensure compliance with recruitment policies and documentation requirements.

Required profile

• MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• 2–6 years of recruitment experience, preferably in academic or higher‑education settings.
• Strong sourcing, interviewing, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
