R&D Design Engineer – Sanitary Fittings

About the role

As an R&D Design Engineer on our international team, you will drive the development of high‑quality sanitary fittings. You will translate innovative concepts into functional, cost‑effective products while ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new components and assemblies for sanitary fittings.
• Execute constructive design while balancing aesthetics, functionality, cost, and installation constraints.
• Generate creative concepts to evolve the product portfolio.
• Maintain SAP master data, including Engineering Change Management (ECM/ECN), Material Master Data, and Bill of Materials.
• Ensure timely delivery of designs that meet functional specifications and fit the product architecture.
• Perform engineering calculations (strength, stiffness, mass) manually or with appropriate tools.
• Collaborate closely with global R&D teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Professional experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering operations, preferably in the sanitary or fluid‑handling industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing constraints, material properties, and cost‑to‑design principles.
• High‑level English proficiency and ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• SolidEdge or Creo (modern CAD systems)
• CAE or other simulation tools
• SAP ERP – ECM/ECN, Material Master Data, BOM management
• Mechanical dimensioning and structural calculations (strength, stiffness, mass)
