Quality Control Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to ensure the quality of raw materials and concrete at our ready‑mix concrete plants. The role supports product quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct demonstrations of VAC products for clients.
• Resolve day‑to‑day customer grievances related to cracks, workability, slump control, pumping issues and cube failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain the quality control laboratory, ensure proper product display and availability of relevant BIS codes.
• Keep all quality records up to date in Labsys, including calibration records for testing equipment, in line with QCI and ISO requirements.
• Verify raw material quality against specifications, reject non‑conforming material, and coordinate third‑party testing of concrete cubes when required.
• Perform concrete cube testing to confirm compliance with quality standards and run trials on admixtures and special materials.
• Ensure proper workability and cohesiveness of concrete at the plant and at pouring sites, apply moisture corrections and monitor correct dosage of admixtures during production.

Required profile

• Experience in quality control within ready‑mix concrete or similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interact with customers and address technical complaints.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and record‑keeping systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining standards.

Required skills

• Concrete cube testing.
• Laboratory equipment calibration.
• Use of Labsys quality management software.
• Knowledge of BIS code compliance.
• Understanding of ISO and QCI quality standards.
