Quality Assurance Officer – Manufacturing (India)

About the role

The Quality Assurance Officer will ensure that Herbalife products manufactured at the contract site in India meet all internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and global procedures. You will act as the key liaison between Herbalife and the contract manufacturer to drive compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production processes at defined frequencies to verify compliance with Herbalife quality procedures.
• Conduct periodic audits of the facility and operations to align with Herbalife, Ministry of Ayush, Ayurveda standards, and FSSAI GMP guidelines.
• Communicate changes in product processes that affect quality and coordinate complaint handling, root‑cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Support troubleshooting of raw material, packaging, and process quality issues; drive defect elimination.
• Provide document verification and dispatch approvals for all batches.
• Prepare regular MIS reports and share them with the QA team.
• Assist in validation of new products and participate in cross‑functional improvement projects.
• Perform testing of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods; investigate out‑of‑specification results.

Required profile

• Graduation or post‑graduation in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Technology, Pharma or related fields.
• 5–7 years of experience in nutraceutical, Ayurveda or pharmaceutical quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations and global food safety standards.
• Experience implementing HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and good written and verbal communication skills.
