QA Specialist – ETL, Data Engineering, Power BI & Microsoft Fabric

About the role

Atlas Systems Inc. is seeking a QA Specialist with strong hands‑on experience in ETL/ELT testing, data validation and Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI. The role focuses on end‑to‑end data reconciliation from source systems through pipelines to Power BI reports.

Key responsibilities

• Test ETL/ELT pipelines, transformations, mappings, workflows and data migrations.
• Perform source‑to‑target reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, duplicate, null, aggregation and business‑rule validations.
• Validate initial, incremental, historical and delta loads, including insert/update/delete scenarios.
• Validate data across SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake, Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse and Databricks.
• Use tools such as ADF, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Alteryx, Fabric Pipelines/Notebooks and Databricks for testing.
• Automate data validation with SQL, Python, PySpark/Spark SQL and integrate checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform root‑cause analysis across source → ETL → data platform → semantic model → Power BI.
• Validate Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX, filters, RLS, refresh and backend reconciliation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in ETL/Data Warehouse QA and data reconciliation.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one ETL tool (ADF, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, Alteryx).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks.
• Good understanding of Power BI, semantic models and DAX validation.
