QA Engineer – Mobile Applications

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer you will ensure the quality and reliability of SPAN’s mobile applications through both automated and manual testing. You will work closely with software, device, and hardware engineering teams to deliver a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• Collaborate with mobile and firmware teams to create test plans, test cases, and tooling.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Detox and React Native frameworks.
• Perform extensive manual testing on devices and panels to validate functionality, usability, and compatibility.
• Document defects, issues, and enhancement requests clearly.
• Configure and maintain test environments, devices, and simulators.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and contribute to automation best practices.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer testing mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Experience testing firmware, hardware/IoT products.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and test case design.
• Hands‑on experience with Android Studio and Xcode.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Docker) and GitHub.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
