Python Developer – Backend Services

About the role

Headstart is looking for a Python Developer to design, build and maintain the back‑end services that power its education platform. The role is full‑time and hybrid, based in Noida, and offers the chance to work on scalable features that help institutions manage enrollments and student relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop clean, efficient Python code following object‑oriented principles.
• Design, implement and maintain RESTful APIs using Django or FastAPI.
• Integrate and optimise relational and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with front‑end and product teams to deliver new features.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and improve performance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills with solid OOP knowledge.
• Experience building back‑end web services with Django or FastAPI.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, schema design and query optimisation.
• Proficiency with Git, testing, debugging and CI/CD processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment and learn new technologies.
