Purchasing Manager / Assistant Purchasing Manager

About the role

Join Hilton’s hotel team as a Purchasing Manager or Assistant Purchasing Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless supply chain. You will develop and execute purchasing strategies that balance cost‑effectiveness with the high standards of hospitality that Hilton is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement operations and manage purchasing and inventory of general merchandise.
• Collaborate with chefs and hotel management to align purchases with hotel needs.
• Negotiate with suppliers, secure competitive pricing, place orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Review shipments to confirm they meet specifications, grade and quality standards.
• Supervise and coach team members, monitor performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Identify and manage supply‑chain risks such as disruptions, price volatility and compliance issues.
• Monitor market trends to anticipate price shifts and inform purchasing decisions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to source, negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control and procurement systems.
• Experience in budgeting, cost analysis and tracking purchasing performance.
• Familiarity with local procurement regulations, health and safety standards and sustainability practices.
