Purchase & Product Specialist – IoT Hardware & Software

About the role

The Mobility Platform & Solutions (MPS) business within Bosch is expanding rapidly and needs a detail‑oriented professional to manage the sourcing and procurement of IoT hardware and associated software. You will work closely with suppliers, engineering, product and legal teams to ensure high‑quality components are selected and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and procure IoT hardware such as cameras, RFID readers and antennas, LiDAR, radar systems, and telematics devices, together with related software licenses.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations, prepare Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) documents, and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Identify, assess and onboard suppliers according to global standards, monitoring performance for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate technical needs into procurement strategies and support contracting with legal.
• Maintain software license compliance, monitor market trends, and advise management on emerging IoT technologies and regulatory impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering with 5‑8 years of experience in the IoT product domain.
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or product evaluation for IoT or electronics, including supplier assessment and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills, with ability to work across multiple geographies.

Required skills

• IoT hardware expertise (cameras, RFID, LiDAR, radar, telematics devices).
• Software licensing and compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with SAP and procurement software tools.
