Purchase Executive – RFQ to PO

About the role

The Purchase Executive will own the end‑to‑end RFQ to PO process for a defence‑technology start‑up. You will source suppliers, evaluate quotations, negotiate terms and generate purchase orders while ensuring compliance with internal procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full RFQ cycle: shortlist suppliers, issue quotations, follow up and clarify requirements.
• Prepare comparative analysis covering price, delivery, technical fit and commercial terms.
• Negotiate pricing and contract conditions to secure the best value.
• Create and release purchase orders in line with approved RFQs and procurement guidelines.
• Track order acknowledgements, delivery schedules and coordinate with planning, finance and logistics teams.
• Maintain supplier master data, quotation records and communication logs in the ERP system.
• Ensure PR‑PO compliance, support audits and flag supplier performance issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Engineering degree.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PR‑PO processes, RFQ handling and quotation evaluation.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple RFQs simultaneously.
