PTE & General English Teacher / Academic Coordinator

About the role

Boston Institute is seeking a versatile PTE & General English Teacher who will also act as an Academic Coordinator for its India operations. You will deliver high‑impact PTE Academic and General English classes while collaborating closely with the academic team in Sydney to ensure curriculum quality and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver PTE Academic classes covering Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening, focusing on scoring strategies and measurable score improvements.
• Teach General English courses to build foundational language skills for students preparing for PTE.
• Run mock tests, score‑prediction sessions, and targeted skill‑gap workshops.
• Track individual progress, adapt lesson plans, and help each learner achieve their target PTE band.
• Liaise regularly with the Academic Manager and Director of Studies in Sydney on curriculum, assessment standards, and student reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, mock‑test results, and score trends.
• Adapt and localise PTE teaching materials to align with Boston Institute’s standards.
• Advise prospective students on realistic PTE score expectations and study timelines.
• Support student motivation and retention through structured feedback and progress check‑ins.
• Assist with orientation sessions for students planning to study in Australia.
• Contribute to success stories, testimonials, and promotional content in partnership with the Sales & Marketing team.
• Represent Boston Institute at local information sessions and webinars.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or equivalent).
• Tertiary degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• PTE Academic trainer certification or extensive experience teaching the PTE format (strongly preferred).
• Proven experience teaching PTE Academic and General English to students preparing for study, migration, or work pathways.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the PTE Academic test format and scoring criteria.
• Ability to design and deliver mock tests and score‑prediction workshops.
