Project Manager – Life Sciences

About the role

IPS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of life‑science facilities across its Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad offices. The role involves overseeing complex engineering, construction, commissioning and validation projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to handover, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality targets are met.
• Act as the single point of accountability, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors and client expectations.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings, support proposal development and align project goals with client and corporate objectives.
• Lead design development, budget planning and change‑control processes, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, MHRA and other regulatory standards throughout engineering, construction and validation phases.
• Maintain and present financial and schedule reports, flag variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Mentor junior project managers, engineers and support staff, promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years delivering pharmaceutical or life‑science projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or planning.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large, concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment.
