Project Manager – IT PMO

About the role

Magna is seeking a Project Manager to lead and coordinate IT projects within its global IT organization. The role blends analytical expertise with cross‑functional collaboration to ensure projects align with Magna’s IT strategy and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor multiple IT business projects or strategic initiatives.
• Manage project scope, budget, and timelines to meet defined goals and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and track tasks and resources using appropriate tools.
• Create statements of requirements in partnership with functional teams.
• Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and lead steering‑committee update meetings.
• Collaborate closely with business units and IT departments such as enterprise architecture, infrastructure, solutions, and software architecture.
• Guide and support the project team, manage changes, and evaluate project outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience planning and delivering IT projects with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project management theories, principles, and organizational change management.
• Proven experience in business and requirements analysis.
