Project Manager – Finance & Regulatory Reporting

About the role

KPMG India is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead finance‑related initiatives, focusing on liquidity reporting, data validation, and regulatory programs. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams across Finance, Technology, and Data to ensure timely and compliant delivery of critical regulatory reports.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle – planning, execution, monitoring, and closure – for liquidity regulatory reporting (LCR, NSFR, ILAAP, Asset Encumbrance, AMM).
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones and deliverables aligned with business priorities.
• Track progress, manage risks, dependencies and ensure on‑time delivery within scope.
• Serve as the central coordination point between Finance, Data, Technology and regional teams (US, UK, APAC).
• Communicate updates, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders and leadership.
• Lead data quality, reconciliation and validation initiatives to support regulatory reporting.
• Establish project governance, prepare steering committee decks, MIS, KPIs and status reports.
• Maintain RAID logs and drive process optimisation, automation and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in project management, PMO or business transformation roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects in a finance environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leadership.
• Ability to analyse data issues, drive resolution and ensure regulatory compliance.
