Project Engineer – Civil

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer specialized in civil works to lead and support construction activities across various plant units. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, and efficient execution of civil structures such as pot rooms, chimneys, and alumina silos.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate safety risks for all civil works.
• Interpret and visualise engineering drawings, reviewing shuttering schemes and bar‑bending schedules, and recommend corrections.
• Develop and maintain quarterly rolling resource and job plans.
• Ensure compliance with Indian Standards (IS) codes for site execution, measurements, and quality management plans.
• Oversee structural erection activities and coordinate manpower planning.
• Apply precast construction techniques for pot rooms and monitor slipform operations for chimneys and silos.
• Manage temperature‑controlled concreting processes for turbine generator (TG) installations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong decision‑making skills under pressure.
• Experience in manpower planning and on‑site management.
