Program Coordinator – Patna

About the role

PATH is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the implementation of urban and peri‑urban disease surveillance activities in Patna, India. Reporting to the Program Officer (Urban Health) and the City Lead – Surveillance, the coordinator will manage day‑to‑day field operations, liaise with health facilities and ensure high‑quality data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily implementation of surveillance activities in urban and peri‑urban areas of Patna.
• Coordinate field visits, supportive supervision schedules and follow‑up actions with health facilities, surveillance units and frontline health workers.
• Provide operational support for GIS data collection, including facility geo‑tagging and updating location‑based information.
• Assist with verification of IHIP reporting, documentation of quality aspects and compilation of observations for review.
• Conduct facility‑based supply‑chain assessments using standardized tools.
• Facilitate logistics and coordination for trainings, workshops, supervision visits and other program events, including participant coordination and documentation.

Required profile

• Experience working in public‑health or disease‑surveillance projects, preferably in urban settings.
• Ability to travel regularly to health facilities and conduct field supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• GIS for data collection and geo‑tagging.
