Production Executive

About the role

The Production Executive will lead the day‑to‑day manufacturing activities at our plant in Thane, ensuring that production targets are met with the required quality and efficiency. Reporting to the Plant/Production Manager, you will supervise chemists, coordinate with support teams, and drive continuous improvement in the production process.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise senior and junior chemists and direct their activities to meet production schedules.
• Coordinate and monitor the entire production process, adjusting schedules and priorities based on shift performance and quality reports.
• Maintain optimal use of machinery, equipment capacity, and utilities while minimizing costs.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt of raw materials and dispatch of finished goods.
• Interface with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment non‑conformances and prevent production interruptions.
• Implement plant quality policies, conduct daily shop‑floor inspections, and ensure compliance with product specifications.
• Prepare and raise production records and statistics for planners and operations leaders.
• Enforce corporate, statutory, and EHS requirements, acting as the safety representative during shifts.
• Conduct training for line personnel and manage shift resources according to safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate in Chemical Technology, Polymer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in a PU polymer manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead production teams and manage shift‑level resources.
