Design Engineer – Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer to create, develop and optimise material handling equipment. The role focuses on mechanical structures, hydraulic systems, manufacturability and cost‑effective engineering, supporting projects from concept through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Design new products that complement our existing manufacturing range and align with market requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings, bills of materials and issue them to vendors and production teams.
• Perform structural calculations and validate strength of components.
• Design and optimise hydraulic circuits, select cylinders and configure power packs.
• Conduct R&D on manufacturing processes, cost analysis and upgrade existing designs.
• Maintain the design database and produce general arrangement drawings with operation & maintenance manuals.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with material handling, hydraulic equipment or heavy fabrication.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across departments.
