Product Stewardship Specialist I

About the role

This role ensures business continuity and growth by maintaining compliance with hazard communication regulations for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. The specialist prepares Safety Data Sheets and labels, supports new product introductions, and drives continuous improvement of regulatory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels to meet regional regulatory requirements.
• Manage material introductions, classifications, dangerous‑goods labeling, and Notification of Change (NOC) processes.
• Provide regulatory approval for product creation, extensions, and translations within the material master workflow.
• Support global customers and suppliers with hazard‑communication inquiries and maintain SAP data integrity.
• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) activities and report compliance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• Minimum 6 + years of experience in chemical/petrochemical industry, with at least 3 years in product stewardship or regulatory compliance.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work across global time zones.

Required skills

• SDS authoring and deep knowledge of GHS and regional hazard‑communication regulations.
• Experience with SAP EHS and SAP data management.
• Knowledge of dangerous‑goods regulations (IATA preferred).
• Proficiency in standard office software and computer‑literacy.
