Product Costing Associate Analyst

About the role

The Product Costing Associate Analyst supports business units by providing accurate inventory valuation and cost analysis. The role is responsible for monthly valuation, variance analysis, and inventory provision calculations, ensuring stakeholders have reliable cost information.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly inventory valuation at standard and actual cost according to the month‑end closing schedule.
• Analyze variances between actual cost, standard cost, and production orders.
• Support the definition and maintenance of the annual operating plan, including fixed production costs and variable rates.
• Calculate and record provisions for slow‑moving inventory, net realizable value, and replacement price using GAIN methodology.
• Communicate process deliverables and keep stakeholders informed of progress, issues, and resolutions.
• Validate inventory and product‑cost information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Support internal controls, reconciliations, audit requirements, and continuous process‑improvement activities.
• Collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to resolve product‑costing issues under guidance.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Finance (e.g., B.Com., CA, CPA), MBA, or a master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in accounting, finance, product costing, or inventory accounting.
• Understanding of inventory valuation, standard and actual costing, production‑order variances, and month‑end activities.
• Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and effective stakeholder communication.

Required skills

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Fluent English.
