Principal Engineering Analyst – Subsea SURF

About the role

The Principal Engineering Analyst will provide deep technical leadership within the Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) domain. You will lead large, multi‑disciplinary projects, make high‑impact engineering decisions, and act as the single point of contact for assigned business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineering Analysts on dynamic analysis of flexible flowlines and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Direct SURF engineers, review their work, approve deliveries, and ensure compliance with established engineering processes.
• Define functional processes, drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, and act as account manager for one or more business units.
• Communicate design and analysis requirements, plan scopes of work, allocate resources, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Participate in governance meetings, approve engineering documents and timesheets, and conduct technical trainings.
• Maintain performance records, develop competency matrices, and support performance‑management activities.

Required profile

• Post‑graduation (Master’s) in Mechanical, Civil, Ocean, Naval Architecture or Subsea Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant industry experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience.
• Expert‑level knowledge of FEA and SURF local and global analysis using CAE tools.
• Strong familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME, DNV, API and AISC.

Required skills

• CAE software: OrcaFlex, UFlex, ANSYS, RISA, Sesam.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and SURF dynamic analysis.
• Knowledge of ASME, DNV, API, AISC standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
