About the role

As a Principal Data Analyst at Zynga in Bengaluru, you will act as a strategic thought leader and technical expert within the analytics organization, shaping data‑driven decision‑making across one or more game studios.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the analytics strategy for multiple games, aligning analytical investment with long‑term business goals.
• Identify high‑impact, ambiguous problems, develop frameworks and analyses, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Implement and champion advanced analytical methodologies such as statistical modelling, machine learning, and causal inference.
• Communicate insights through compelling narratives to both technical peers and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with senior leadership to influence portfolio‑level decisions and roadmap prioritisation.
• Mentor and elevate fellow analysts, fostering a culture of data‑informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading analytics initiatives in a fast‑paced, data‑rich environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex, ambiguous problems into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of mentoring analysts and driving analytical excellence.

Required skills

• Statistical modelling and machine learning.
• Causal inference techniques.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Python or R for analysis and modelling.
• Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
