Primary English Teacher (Grades 3–5) – Cambridge Curriculum

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Primary English Teacher to join our school in Powai, Mumbai. The role focuses on delivering the Cambridge Curriculum to students in Grades 3‑5, fostering a love for language and literature.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
• Develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through interactive, learner‑centered methods.
• Create lesson plans, worksheets, assessments and learning resources.
• Assess student progress regularly, provide feedback and maintain academic records.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Promote a love for reading through storytelling and literature activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership.
• Participate in school events, meetings and professional development programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education or related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• Prior experience teaching English to primary grades, preferably within a Cambridge or international curriculum.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
