Plumbing Engineer – Mechanical (MEP) – EPC Projects

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Plumbing Engineer to support large‑scale EPC and EPCM projects across industrial, infrastructure, and building sectors in India. The role involves self‑performed engineering, BIM‑based design delivery, and close coordination with construction and commissioning teams to ensure safe, compliant, and constructible plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop domestic water supply, sanitary and industrial drainage, and storm‑water management systems.
• Prepare design basis documents, calculations, and technical deliverables.
• Develop and review P&IDs, layout drawings, and equipment general arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Ensure compliance with Bechtel standards, project specifications, and codes such as NBC, IPC, UPC, ASPE, IS, and international standards.
• Coordinate 3D/2D architectural and structural models in Navisworks.
• Assist in plan preparation and schedule coordination.

Required profile

• Experience in plumbing engineering for large EPC/EPCM projects, preferably in semiconductor, data centre, metro rail, airport, or oil & gas sectors.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Ability to produce detailed 2‑D and 3‑D CAD models and construction drawings.
