Planning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Engineer to join our PSE Production Centre in Chakan, Pune. The role bridges engineering, sales and production, ensuring orders are planned, scheduled and delivered on time while optimizing capacity and resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end order flow from receipt to delivery, ensuring on‑time fulfillment.
• Perform capacity planning and detailed scheduling of production orders using SAP APO.
• Coordinate material management with the Logistics team and align resources across production segments.
• Develop and maintain systems for inventory, BOM, material and production planning, and cost estimation.
• Drive supply‑chain performance improvements and eliminate losses to increase customer value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in order handling, production planning and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical abilities and fluency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced use of SAP APO and SAP ERP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and Power BI.
• Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
