Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will work closely with the Lead Planner to develop, maintain and control project schedules for construction projects. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule updates and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Lead Planner in creating and maintaining project schedules using project management software.
• Load resources into the schedule, estimating manpower, equipment and material requirements for each activity.
• Collect data from stakeholders to update schedules and prepare regular reports.
• Update project schedules at defined frequencies and highlight potential risks with mitigation strategies.
• Prepare progress and productivity reports as requested.
• Assess change requests, update schedules accordingly, and document impacts.
• Participate in progress meetings, capture minutes of meeting and ensure proper documentation of schedules, baseline plans, change orders and delay events.
• Maintain contractor performance records as directed.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Construction Management (NICMAR) or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience, preferably on real‑estate projects.
