Pediatric Nursing Incharge

About the role

Apple Hospital in Indore is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nursing Incharge to lead its paediatric unit. The role involves overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centred care for infants, children and adolescents, and maintaining compliance with NABH standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities within the paediatric department.
• Allocate staff, manage duty rosters and ensure adequate coverage for routine and emergency care.
• Monitor patient care practices to guarantee adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols and NABH standards.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, patient records and oversee infection‑prevention and control measures.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance and inventory of medical equipment and supplies.
• Conduct regular rounds, assess care quality and address issues promptly.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, departmental audits and accreditation activities.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Lead onboarding, training, mentoring and performance evaluation of nursing staff.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Nursing or Post‑Basic B.Sc. Nursing with valid registration from the Madhya Pradesh Nursing Council.
• Minimum 5–8 years of hospital nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a paediatric, NICU or PICU setting.
• M.Sc. Nursing or specialised paediatric nursing certification is an advantage.
