Packaging Operator – Production

About the role

The Packaging Operator is responsible for running and monitoring packaging equipment to produce high‑quality products safely and efficiently. You will work on a fast‑paced production line, ensuring compliance with Mars safety, food‑safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery such as baggers, conveyors, check weighers, metal detectors and palletizers.
• Monitor machine performance, process parameters and achieve daily production targets while maintaining product quality.
• Perform product changeovers, line clearances and routine equipment inspections, cleaning and lubrication.
• Apply autonomous maintenance practices and maintain 5S workplace organization.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement activities, OEE initiatives and FMOS meetings.
• Accurately record production data, downtime, quality deviations and ensure audit compliance.

Required profile

• 3–8 years of experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals or automated production environments.
• Experience operating automated packaging equipment is preferred.
• BTech or Diploma in Electrical, Communication or Instrumentation.

Required skills

• Operation of baggers, conveyors, check weighers, metal detectors and palletizers.
• Routine equipment inspection, cleaning and lubrication.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, safety and quality standards.
• 5S workplace organization.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and instrumentation awareness.
