Oracle Database Administrator

About the role

The Oracle Database Administrator manages, monitors and optimises Oracle databases supporting the agency's internal systems and client-facing platforms. This is a full-time, on-site role in the Greater Delhi area, working with developers and operations teams to build scalable database architectures and support application releases.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade Oracle database environments
• Manage user access, backups and recovery, and tune performance
• Diagnose and resolve database issues, and ensure high availability through replication and clustering
• Implement security controls and data protection measures
• Contribute to capacity planning and continuous improvement of database reliability and efficiency
• Maintain documentation and standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Delhi area and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience in fast-paced startup or digital agency environments is beneficial

Required skills

• Oracle Database Administration and general database administration for production and staging environments
• Replication and high-availability configurations
• Troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and performance tuning
• Database security: access control, encryption, auditing and compliance
• SQL, PL/SQL and scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager or similar monitoring tools and RMAN
