Operational Buyer Planner

About the role

The Operational Buyer Planner drives customer demand fulfilment by ensuring material availability across the supply chain. This role combines tactical material planning, purchase order management and risk mitigation to support Philips' global processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tactical material planning using forecasts and feedback with internal and external suppliers and distribution centres.
• Manage operational material planning and purchase orders, ensuring timely supplier delivery.
• Identify supply risks, drive mitigation actions and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain master data settings for touch‑less replenishment and continuously improve supply processes.
• Monitor supplier performance, follow up on material life‑cycle, and prevent obsolescence.
• Analyse inventory and define policies to secure material availability while minimising investment.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Knowledge of ordering procedures, key suppliers, department organisation and inventory management.
