On-the-Job Trainee (Steward) – Entry Level Food & Beverage Service

About the role

This on‑the‑job training (OJT) program prepares fresh candidates for a career as a Steward in food and beverage service. Under supervision, you will learn the full service cycle, hygiene standards and guest interaction, with the aim of progressing to an independent steward position.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured on‑the‑job training covering F&B service procedures and SOPs.
• Assist senior staff with table setup, service, clearing and mise‑en‑place.
• Learn proper handling of crockery, cutlery, glassware and service equipment.
• Acquire basic menu knowledge of dishes, ingredients and beverage offerings.
• Observe and apply hygiene, sanitation and food‑safety protocols (FSSAI/HACCP basics).
• Support order taking, guest interaction etiquette and timely coordination with kitchen and bar.
• Maintain punctuality, grooming standards and a disciplined work attitude.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+2 education; hospitality diploma is a plus.
• No prior experience required – freshers welcome.
• Basic English and Hindi communication skills.
• Pleasant, presentable personality with a guest‑service orientation.
• Physically fit and able to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
