Murex Front Office Business Analyst

About the role

This position is with a large European bank that uses Murex for FX, commodities trading and market risk. The role requires a seasoned Finance Business Analyst to support Accounting, Finance and Product Control teams, delivering regulatory and business change initiatives while providing production support.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for Front Office, ensuring full utilisation of Murex functionality.
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, configuration and unit testing of changes.
• Define system and data requirements, validate functional and technical designs.
• Own end‑to‑end tasks in collaboration with Business Analysts and testing teams.
• Create test plans, test cases and execute system testing.
• Support user training through one‑to‑one sessions and preparation of training materials.
• Coordinate with vendor support to resolve bugs and ensure smooth hand‑over to operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a Front Office Business Analyst in capital markets.
• 5+ years working on the Murex platform (functional or support).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience in banking or IT environments, with knowledge of regulatory frameworks (APRA, Basel 2.5, IFRS) a plus.
