Mining Inventory & Stores Coordinator

About the role

The Mining Inventory & Stores Coordinator ensures that all consumables, spares, and critical materials are received, verified, and issued promptly to support uninterrupted mining operations. The role maintains accurate records, monitors stock levels, and coordinates disposal of scrap while complying with safety and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify mining consumables, spares, and critical materials to prevent operational downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation, quantity and quality checks, and issue records.
• Coordinate with mining operations, user departments, and approved vendors for timely disposal of scrap materials.
• Prepare MIS reports on stock levels, receipts, issues, and consumption trends for management review.
• Plan, monitor, and reconcile inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Conduct periodic physical verification and ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
• Execute SAP transactions including GRN, issue postings, stock transfers, and material master updates.
• Monitor stock ageing to identify slow‑moving, non‑moving, and obsolete items for timely action.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory control or stores management, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent coordination skills with operations, vendors, and internal departments.
• Ability to generate and analyse MIS reports for decision‑making.
