Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer (Exchange & OneDrive)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to lead enterprise‑scale migrations of Exchange Online and OneDrive for Business for our Bangalore office. The role focuses on designing, automating, and executing migration projects while ensuring data integrity, minimal downtime, and compliance with security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and validate Exchange Online mailbox migrations from on‑premises or tenant‑to‑tenant environments.
• Design and run OneDrive for Business migration plans, handling pre‑migration assessments and post‑migration verification.
• Develop robust PowerShell automation scripts with comprehensive error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms.
• Utilize Microsoft Graph API for bulk operations, reporting, and automation tasks.
• Leverage Quest On Demand Migration (ODM) for complex tenant‑to‑tenant scenarios.
• Troubleshoot migration issues, optimise performance for large data sets, and document all processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration strategy, timelines, risk mitigation, and governance compliance.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Exchange Online and OneDrive for Business migrations.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, including modular design and exception handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Graph API and Quest ODM tools.
• Good understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, Azure AD/Entra ID, and identity management.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
