MEP Piping Foreman / Supervisor – Fire Protection Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Piping professional to lead the installation, testing and commissioning of fire protection and process piping systems at large factory sites. The role involves supervising teams, coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and supervise installation of fire protection systems and process piping, including sprinkler lines, hydrant lines, hose reels, wet risers, pump rooms and foam or gas‑based suppression systems.
• Review design drawings, system layouts, hydraulic calculations and isometric diagrams for accuracy and feasibility.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and ELV teams to ensure conflict‑free, integrated installation.
• Monitor subcontractors, ensuring timely completion in line with project schedules.
• Conduct hydrostatic, flushing and pressure testing of pipelines and support commissioning of pumps and control panels.
• Prepare and maintain installation checklists, test reports, daily progress updates and material reconciliation reports.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Fire & Safety or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–20 years of experience in execution and commissioning of fire protection systems and process piping on large factory construction projects.
• Proficient in English; knowledge of regional language preferred for site coordination.

Required skills

• Fire protection system installation (sprinkler, hydrant, pump room, gas‑based suppression).
• Hydraulic testing, flushing and pressure testing of pipelines.
• Pipe routing, supports and material selection.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NBC and IS codes.
• AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency.
