Medical Science Manager

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a proactive Medical Science Manager to lead medical monitoring activities for clinical trials. The role involves close collaboration with clinicians, key opinion leaders, and cross‑functional teams to ensure scientific rigor and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient eligibility based on inclusion/exclusion criteria and detailed medical history.
• Review study endpoint data, safety investigations, and adverse event reports.
• Prepare synopses, protocols, and Clinical Study Reports (CSR) and present proposals to the Subject Expert Committee.
• Collaborate with clinicians and KOLs to refine trial design, comparators, and endpoints.
• Manage patient enrollment through the Interactive Response Technology (IRT) system.
• Coordinate with data management for timely data extracts, cleaning, and database lock.
• Train study teams on protocol specifics and resolve site queries.
• Conduct medical writing for scientific documents and plan publication activities.
• Identify additional clinical data analyses with the statistics team and present findings at scientific forums.

Required profile

• MBBS + MD (Pharmacology) or equivalent medical qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in clinical science, preferably as a medical monitor or medical expert.
• Experience working on clinical development plans across therapeutic areas is desirable.
