Mechanical Engineer – Sheet Metal Enclosures

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop outdoor sheet‑metal enclosures for telecommunications products. The role involves leading new product development, value‑engineering, and quality‑improvement projects from concept through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop sheet‑metal outdoor enclosures for telecom equipment.
• Manage end‑to‑end project execution, including estimation, planning, and delivery.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, managers, and cross‑functional teams throughout design and development.
• Perform analytical calculations and actively participate in design reviews.
• Maintain quality and schedule performance according to global engineering standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in new product design.
• Strong command of Creo for sheet‑metal design.
• Experience with part and assembly modeling, drafting, and engineering change orders.
• Proficiency with PDM/PLM tools such as Oracle PLM, Teamcenter, or Windchill.
• Knowledge of material selection and sheet‑metal manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with telecom/electrical enclosure design, DFMEA, and DFMA.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and effective English communication skills.
