Manufacturing Operations Site Lead – India

About the role

Google is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operations Site Lead to drive production excellence for its Devices & Services portfolio in India. You will own the end‑to‑end manufacturing footprint, support rapid team growth, and act as the primary Google representative in the Indian market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and independently manage all manufacturing operations at the Indian site.
• Drive initiatives that resolve regional production challenges and improve efficiency.
• Partner with Go‑to‑Market (GTM) and Global Applications (GAPP) leads to align operational plans.
• Oversee product lifecycle from prototype through mass production to end‑of‑life.
• Build and mentor multidisciplinary teams within a matrix organization.
• Represent Google with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in NPI, supply‑chain, sustaining operations, or manufacturing engineering.
• Preferred: MBA or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or related field.
• Preferred: 15 years of experience, including consumer‑electronics manufacturing and hardware processes.
• Proven people‑management experience and strong quantitative problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for global relationship building.
