Manufacturing Executive – Dye House Operations

About the role

The Manufacturing Executive will lead the shift lab and dyeing processes at our Ambasamudram facility, ensuring that key performance indicators such as first‑pass yield, colour quality and lead times are consistently met and improved. You will coordinate laboratory activities, manage resources efficiently, and uphold safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor health and safety indicators, conduct TaRA, MOC, MSA reviews and maintain equipment checklists.
• Drive KPI performance: RFT%, CQ%, LpMpD, attempts per match, dye lot operating hours, and lead‑time targets.
• Oversee laboratory operations: colour matching, sample preparation, machine handling and shift handovers.
• Manage resource utilisation – people, machinery and energy – to optimise productivity.
• Track sustainability metrics: water, energy and waste per kilogram of production.
• Handle customer complaints, stock movements and service‑level agreements for lab turnaround.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects: Kaizen, LSS, OPL development and productivity benefit initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering or postgraduate degree in textile technology, chemistry, textile processing, textile chemistry or man‑made fibre technology.
• 2–3 years of experience in a dye house environment with practical knowledge of colour database and recipe management systems.
• Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Familiarity with SAP transactions and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Awareness of ISO Quality, Health & Safety, Environment management systems and GRS/GOTS standards.

Required skills

• Colour database management (e.g., Dye sect, Sedo Master, Technorama, LA & Lawer system).
• Recipe management and chemical dispensing tools.
• SAP (relevant transactions).
• Health and safety standards and legislation.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or awareness).
• Chemical safety knowledge: MSDS, ZDHC, Chemcheck, Oeko‑tex.
