Manager, Taxation US Tax & Compliance (CA)

About the role

We are seeking a Manager to lead U.S. tax compliance for our Indian operations. The role involves overseeing federal and state income tax filings, managing tax attributes, and supporting tax planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the U.S. tax compliance calendar and prepare related memos.
• Prepare, review and file consolidated federal and state income, franchise, and net‑worth tax returns.
• Manage tax attributes schedules, R&D credit studies and IRC 382/383 analyses.
• Calculate and remit quarterly estimated income taxes, handle extensions and reconcile net‑worth tax accruals.
• Respond to federal and state tax notices and assist with examinations.
• Support tax accounting during quarterly and year‑end close, including provision true‑up.
• Lead ad‑hoc projects such as long‑range tax planning, automation, restructuring and incentive initiatives.
• Research tax law developments and evaluate their impact on income and net‑worth taxes.
• Mentor and develop the local tax team and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8+ years of U.S. corporate income tax experience, preferably in public accounting or U.S.‑headquartered corporations in India.
• At least 2 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• OneSource Tax Provision software (preferred).
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
