Manager – Software Asset Management & Risk Advisory

About the role

PWC is seeking a Manager to lead software asset management and risk advisory activities for its Bangalore office. The role combines internal audit expertise with strategic oversight of software licensing, budgeting and compliance, helping clients protect value and navigate disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Develop long‑term software management strategy and goals.
• Design and implement procedures to track software assets throughout their life‑cycle.
• Monitor software licences to ensure compliance with agreements and usage standards.
• Link software acquisition, utilisation and retirement with budgeting and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify cost‑saving, compliance and service‑improvement opportunities.
• Maintain audit‑readiness and drive continuous improvement in software governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, risk management or related advisory services.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and asset lifecycle management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, procurement and IT teams.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
