Management Trainee – Retail Leasing

About the role

The Retail Leasing Management Trainee will support the Retail Leasing Manager in driving tenant acquisition, lease negotiations and occupancy growth across our retail portfolio. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to commercial real‑estate strategies and relationship management with retailers. The trainee will work closely with senior leasing professionals, gaining insight into lease structuring, market analysis and tenant mix optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective retail brands, anchor tenants and local retailers for leasing opportunities.
• Assist in negotiating lease agreements and maintaining strong relationships with existing tenants.
• Develop and execute leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitor activities and potential tenants.
• Generate leads through broker networks, industry contacts and direct outreach.
• Support the optimisation of tenant mix and overall commercial performance of retail assets.
• Achieve leasing targets and maximise occupancy levels.
• Enhance the overall commercial performance of retail assets.
