Maintenance Technician II

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join CommScope’s production site. The role involves keeping manufacturing equipment running smoothly through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns and supporting new line installations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) schedules on production machinery.
• Respond to breakdown calls, diagnose faults and restore equipment to minimise downtime.
• Install, commission and set‑up new machines and production lines.
• Track engineering spares consumption and manage inventory deviations.
• Maintain 5S standards, adhere to safety regulations and ensure compliance.
• Monitor MTBF and MTTR metrics and report any pending issues.
• Work rotating three‑shift schedule as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 1‑3 years experience, or Diploma with 3‑5 years experience.
• Hands‑on experience with installation, commissioning, PM and breakdown of fiber‑optic/cable machinery and related auxiliary equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical control systems, industrial automation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work independently on shift and handle troubleshooting under time pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Gearbox, bearings, motors and lubrication maintenance.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic system expertise.
• Basic fiber‑optic knowledge.
• SAP usage.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Excel for reporting.
• Kaizen and continuous improvement concepts.
