Maintenance Leader - Drills

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Maintenance Leader for drill equipment at the Zawar underground metal mining site. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership to ensure reliable operation of drilling machines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports on a single customer contract site and handle invoicing for that customer.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, provide technical support, and manage the team budget to maintain profitability.
• Produce performance reports, analyse data, and establish KPIs in collaboration with planning functions.
• Manage inventory, implement quality‑assurance processes and conduct regular inspections.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, resolve inquiries and improve service delivery.
• Set daily goals for service technicians, give performance feedback and manage the full employee lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, develop safety protocols and lead training.
• Coordinate maintenance scheduling with workshop manager, planner, site manager and the customer.

Required profile

• Experience with maintenance teams on underground metal mining projects.
• Hands‑on background in servicing, overhauling and commissioning underground drill machines.
• Proven ability to lead workshop repairs and rebuilds.
• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
