Machinery Service Engineer – UK Nationwide Travel

About the role

Flamefast Group is seeking a self‑motivated Machinery Service Engineer to service design and technology equipment across schools, colleges and universities throughout the UK. The role combines on‑site maintenance, LEV testing and extensive travel, with the majority of office work performed from home.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on a range of educational machines.
• Carry out Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) tests on equipment with dust extraction systems.
• Maintain accurate service paperwork and documentation.
• Plan weekly travel routes and manage accommodation bookings via the company portal.
• Provide technical support to customers and liaise with the service team as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Full, clean driving licence with no DBE restrictions.
• Experience in machinery maintenance and repair; electrical experience preferred.
