M&A Attorney – Remote Contract (up to $70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced M&A Attorney to work remotely on a contract basis. The role focuses on reviewing complex corporate and financial documents while ensuring strict compliance with data‑privacy and PII regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and annotate corporate, M&A, and financial documents for compliance and data‑privacy standards.
• Identify and mitigate exposure of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), documenting best practices for anonymization.
• Provide guidance on structural identifiability of content to preserve data utility while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Support creation of training materials that reflect current M&A and corporate law compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve data‑processing protocols and reduce re‑identification risks.
• Deliver detailed written and verbal feedback to enhance the accuracy of legal content used for AI training.

Required profile

• Minimum experience with PII compliance in financial or corporate settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in mergers & acquisitions, sensitive document handling, and data‑privacy regulation.
• Ability to identify both direct and structural PII risks in corporate documentation.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to compliance.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents related to financial transactions and corporate governance.
