Legal Head – Revenue (Real Estate & Construction)

About the role

The Legal Head – Revenue will lead the legal function for a real‑estate and construction business, ensuring full statutory and contractual compliance across all projects. Reporting to senior management, this role provides strategic legal advice, mitigates risk, and supports revenue‑generating activities.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management on real‑estate, revenue and compliance matters, including land acquisition, joint ventures and sales transactions.
• Conduct title due‑diligence, verify deeds, revenue records and coordinate with external advocates and surveyors.
• Draft, review and vet legal documents such as sale deeds, agreements, MOUs, JDAs, powers of attorney, leases and conveyance deeds.
• Ensure RERA and other statutory compliance, manage registrations, filings and regulatory communications.
• Oversee litigation and dispute management with external law firms, monitor case progress and develop legal strategies.
• Provide legal support to sales and revenue teams, reviewing customer agreements and handling related disputes.
• Lead the internal legal team and external resources, allocate work, mentor junior members and develop SOPs.
• Monitor changes in real‑estate law, conduct legal audits and implement proactive risk‑mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in real‑estate and construction law, including title verification and RERA compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
• Extensive litigation and dispute‑management experience.
• Leadership experience managing legal teams and external counsel.
• Strong advisory skills for senior management on strategic business decisions.
