About the role
We are seeking a media and entertainment lawyer to join the in‑house legal team at Matrix. The role involves handling celebrity, production, IP and commercial agreements with a business‑first mindset.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate celebrity, endorsement, film, production and licensing agreements.
- Identify contractual risks and propose commercially viable solutions.
- Negotiate with brands, agencies, production houses, platforms and external counsel.
- Support commercial negotiations and deal structuring.
- Manage contract execution, renewals, amendments and related legal documentation.
Required profile
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years at a law firm.
- LL.B. from a recognised Indian university.
- Strong experience in contract drafting and negotiation within media, entertainment and IP law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
