Legal Counsel – Employment (Pune)

About the role

Hansen Technologies is looking for its first dedicated Legal Counsel – Employment in Pune to support its global Legal and People & Culture teams. The role will focus on employment law across India and the broader APAC region, providing practical, commercially‑focused advice while collaborating with senior leaders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Conduct legal research and deliver commercially oriented guidance.
• Draft, review and update employment contracts, policies and other workplace documentation.
• Support investigations, disciplinary actions and employment‑related disputes.
• Coordinate with external counsel and contribute to global employment law projects.
• Assist with restructures, organisational change and workforce initiatives.
• Build regional employment law expertise for India and APAC.
• Participate in broader legal and strategic projects as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in India.
• Approximately 3–8 years of post‑qualified experience in employment law.
• Experience in private practice, in‑house, or both.
• Strong research, drafting and analytical abilities.
• Commercially minded and solutions‑focused.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Interest in developing multi‑jurisdictional employment law expertise.
