Legal Counsel – Employment & Labour Laws

About the role

Infosys is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join its Employment and Labour Laws Team in Bangalore. You will support the group’s global regulatory compliance, advise internal stakeholders, and manage litigation matters related to employment law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare memos on complex regulatory issues and draft employment policy documents.
• Liaise with external counsel to ensure Infosys’ global regulatory compliance.
• Review and finalize employment contracts and negotiate with clients or partners to resolve contractual deadlocks.
• Advise stakeholders on transfer of employment, termination, social security contributions, and employee benefits.
• Prepare and approve responses for courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities.
• Execute litigation strategy and coordinate litigation handled by external counsel.
• Liaise with insurers to manage contentious matters.
• Contribute research papers to the legal knowledge repository.
• Provide training on employment law issues to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with 5‑8 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Previous employment law experience preferred but not mandatory.
